Texans wide receiver Tank Dell was the victim of a shooting on Saturday night, according to the team, as the 24-year-old was one of 10 people wounded at a packed nightclub in Florida.

Dell sustained a 'minor' wound at Cabana Live in Sanford, Florida, before being released from the hospital.

According to KPRC in Houston, Dell was not involved in the altercation that led to the mass shooting and was 'caught in the cross-fire.'

The Texans said that Dell is in 'good spirits' following the harrowing ordeal.

'We are in contact with him and his family and will provide more updates when appropriate but we ask that you please respect his privacy at this time,' the team wrote in a statement posted to X.

'Our thoughts and prayers are with everyone involved in the incident.'

As reported by Click Orlando, 16-year-old Christopher Bouie Jr. was arrested over the alleged shooting.

He was charged with attempted homicide, possession of a firearm by a minor, use and display of a firearm during a felony and firing a weapon in public property, according to his arrest report.

The teenager's arrest report said that he 'pulled out a black and silver handgun (9mm) and began shooting towards a crowd of people' in response to a fist fight that he was uninvolved in.

He was then allegedly tackled by a security guard who was able to disarm him.
