The Topps Industry Conference started with a bang Tuesday morning with some big product announcements.
First off, Topps Chrome Basketball is coming soon with Victor Wembanyama rookie cards and rookie autos. Topps shared an image of the superfractor Wemby auto on X.
Keep in mind as you continue to read that Topps still does not have the NBA or NFL license, so while we are getting Wembanyama rookie autos in a uniform that is Spurs colors, they will not be able to show the Spurs logo.

And speaking of unlicensed, while we wait for Fanatics to take over the license for both the leagues I mentioned above, we will also get a football product incorporating the autos and images of Fanatics exclusive athlete, Houston Texans quarterback CJ Stroud. That product is branded 2024 Topps Motif.

Remember when Angels rookie Nolan Schanuel had his Topps Series 1 card on his bat knob earlier this season? The answer to why became crystal clear.
Topps also announced that several MLB players are using bats with photos of their Topps flagship cards on the bat knob, and after the players use these bats, the knobs will be cut off and put into 1/1 autograph cards.
