New (again) Old Baseball Collector from New England (Boston North Shore)

Hello All:

My name is Matthew and I am 52, from the North Shore of Massachusetts (north of Boston). I used to collect sports cards as a kid and have recently come back to the hobby, but without kids to share my hobby with, I am looking for a community of friends, traders, hobbyists, etc.

First and foremost, I collect Red Sox cards. I also have gotten into set-building and use my duplicates, colored parallels (which tend not to interest me as much, unless they are color-matched) to either complete my sets or obtain more Red Sox cards! I am not as interested in high-end chase cards (which are beautiful), but prefer to have cards in volume that tell a more complete story of the team when I look back at them.

My short-term project is to complete Flagship Series 1. Longer term this year, I would like to complete Heritage.

But first and foremost, always interested in finding friends to chat about baseball, card collecting, and sports in general.

Hello Boston Matt! I am also getting back into the hobby, but concentrating on mainly TTM autographs for my 1978 set. I was born and raised in Boston, but have since moved to the western suburbs. Remember the old Hall's Nostalgia shows? Those were quality shows, I was disappointed to find out that they aren't around anymore.
