2024 Loblaws Marvel Collector Cards
Has anyone been picking these up at their local Loblaws store? I have about 20 packs and I'm on the fence of whether I want to collect them or trade them for hockey/reward points.

More information can be found on Loblaw's site below:

First day, I got four packs from the people in line ahead of me, they were asked and didn’t know what they were, when I explained, they asked if I wanted them as they didn’t want them. I then got two more packs with my purchase. I did get a Shiri holofoil.
Definitely made more for the kids over what you get for the hockey cards from Tim’s.
They separate from the paper fairly nicely, but Marvel and Loblaws dropped the ball as they only used characters attached to the MCU (before DP&W) so there are no X-Men, and that means no Canadian characters like Deadpool and Wolverine, and no Alpha Flight characters, but for some reason they included Squirrel Girl.

Thanks for the info @mikecole141. I was wondering about these holofoil cards and what the odds are on pulling them, (if there are any stated odds).

I do not believe there are any stated odds. But only as a guess from what i have seen they appear to be on roughly 1 10.
It take a lot of groceries to build a set. So i have just been buying lots either on Kijiji or eBay.Then I realized they actually
did two sets. One in French and one in English. So I am working on a set of each. I believe if Loblaws does this again they
should just make packs. So people cannot see what they are getting. I am sure that when a person buys lots of packs on eBay
they likely have already been searched for the Holoview cards. Glad to see a post about these cards. i really like Canadian
food releases of non sport cards.

Never knew about the different language issues, thanks for the heads up on that. I'm always excited when there are Canadian food or oddball releases of any card, sport or non-sport.

Yes that is what i like as well.I have a few vintage Canadian non sport food issue sets that I am working on.
But as far the the two releases go(French & English) it makes perfect sense because of where we live. But
I honestly thought they would do it like most companies did it. And just have both languages on the same card.
Not two separate sets. But I am closing in on my two sets.My understanding is that the promotion will be all
over at the end of the month. And I am sure that once a lot of these Marvel fans find out about this set. Then
maybe they may be hard to find. I have noticed even on eBay that a lot of the prices are trending upwards
as compared to when it first started. good luck with your set(s) if you decide to proceed. Just remember
that if you decide on doing a French set then you will also need a French album.Thanks.
