Happy Holidays from SCF and some updates (please read if your a long time member)

I hope you all have a great Happy Holiday as they are quickly approaching. Enjoy the time with the family and hope you get some things that support your love for the hobby. Well with that said wanted to cover some things that are happening on the boards and things for you members to remember to keep your accounts safe.

1) I want to thank all the SCF sponsors as they help keep the site running.

2) I made a mistake, recently when I merged a account as they had lost their password and signed up for another account. This happens many times a week as many members who just use the TTM forums just sign up for another account when they have trouble signing in. I just merge the old account into the new account. This is where I have learned a new thing about SCF not being totally integrated together perfectly. As we have SCF, TTM, and the Inventory Manager. If you merge an account together on a long standing member who has post counts, trades, and possibly cards listed in the inventory manager it causes a problem. Once the account is merged it will save the your post counts and that is all. The member in question lost their feedback which is a important part of SCF. So, I implore you if are a long time member of the site and value the time you put into building your account do not ask for another account. Just contact me personally as I will more than happily give you a way to contact me so you can avoid this type of situation.

3) Many of you have posted about cards or sets that have not been added to the Inventory Manager. Since, the site is so large I usually tell folks to go to the source to get things done. You might have seen a post like this below made by bballkm32

If you ever need a card or set added please contact him to get the cards added it instead of just posting it somewhere on the site that might be overlooked.

4) Hockey members I ask you to continue to support Richard (RGM81) Show ands tell contest. The link is provided below which has been going on for many years now. If you have any issues with the contest lmk but I know Richard and the team put a lot of time into this contest over the years and in securing prizes which are not easy for a site that is free. 5) I know many of you are members of other forums and if you ever know of a site that is not very active or looking to be sold let me know. The owner of SCF is always looking for a site to buy and keep up and running. There are a few sites in the past that have faded into oblivion with their information never being able to be ascertained or used again which is sad. I think of the In The Game Trading site as I used to love to use it as a resource for product run. Granted some sites have copied the information over the years but not as completely as the original ITG website so that information is forever lost which is sad imo.

6) If any of you ever want to join the SCF Staff very free to drop me a line. We can always use folks to help out in a number of capacities. As the site is only good as the membership and the staff that helps it to run smoothly.

7). Please help keep the site safe from members who you might not be on the up and up. I tag members all the time which as many forget to put a valid address or a full name. So, all these account are tagged and many never respond to me and will be tagged as NO TRADES OR SALES. So, if you ever have a member who tries to circumvent the tag please lmk so we can keep the site safe from folks being ripped off.

9) Also, if you have any issues please give us as much information as possible when letting us know. For example a screenshot of the error or issue, what time and day it happened, what forum it happened, and exactly what function you were trying to do on the site. Thanks!
