Am I difficult to trade with?

Hello to all that dared to click.

Since I have joined this site I have had nothing but positive experiences and 40 plus trades that have all been a pleasure.

However, I have just had the proverbial rug pulled out from under me after working diligently on a trade to clear the members wish list

I must have put in 2 hours of cataloging pulling organizing editing messaging and procuring everything and then as I am pulling return possibilities I am told that all the back and forth is a waste of time and that the experience was the worst ever!

I take pride in accuracy and communication and to be told that my efforts are not appreciated and that this trade was the worst experience ever!

It's not like we were trading a couple of cards because I had '90s junk LOL a couple hundred dollars of Tim Hortons cards and a handful of some odds and ends.
So I was thinking if there is anybody out there that has traded with me and that I talk too much or message too much or that I am hard to deal with I would like to know so that I don't I know I people to make them walk away because I am here for the pure enjoyment of collecting cards and I love the communication and camaraderie

I was going to post a do not trade with this member but I did not want to get suspended or anything so if anybody has any comments feel free to post them on the wall so that everybody can see them or if you have anything to say in private feel free

Enjoy your collecting as much as I do and maybe I will even get a couple of Trades out of this! Please feel free to message me.

Like all activities and walks of life you are always going to encounter a few jerks along the way. There is nothing worse than putting all the work into a potential trade and then the other party doesn't respond at all. A useful function on the site is the Ignore list so those individuals can't waste your time again. You will find that most of the jerks move on and I have found that three quarters of the ones I place on the ignore list are gone within a year, so no need to name the person as they are probably part of the remaining quarter ( six of them) who are on my list.

You have 3 traders who have over 4000 trades between them who vouch for ya. I would do as they say and live and learn. Just never try to work out another trade with that person. It is simple some folks you can please easily while others will not trade with you no matter how much you try. I have folks that think I am difficult and others who think I am easy to deal. Of course I truly think trading in person is so much easier. I met at the Nationals and probably did a trade worth 3000 to 5000 dollars in cards being traded both ways. Some high end stuff, cases, and even some low end stuff coming my way. Point of thing it was a great trade and another deal in the friendship. Much like you will do deal with folks on here who you love trading with and much as they love trading with you. Enjoy those times and do not waste another though on the trader who lost possibly a good trade partner in the future.

p.s. You can never please everyone.

You deal with difficult people in all aspects of life.

I swear 100% of the time if someone on eBay asks me for a scan of the back or the exact serial number of a card on eBay they will not purchase the card or it is the card they want but they will offer me 25-50% of the asking price. Every single time. So I already know when someone asks me for this I will be going out of my way to not make a sale. Why? Because some people are picky and can never be satisfied yet sometimes we have to bite the bullet and deal with these people.

So I have a card listed for $300 CAD. There was a copy of this card sold somewhere other than eBay for $66 USD. I was asked by 3 separate people if I could come down on my price by a ton because one sold for $66. So I replied with "I will not sell for $66, that is too little for this card. Have you asked the seller who is currently asking $999.99 USD if he can come down on his price by $900?"

Some people are dicks and cannot be satisfied. Simple as that.

All these comments are pretty relevant to me. Nyoj1971, you're not the problem here. Keep in mind, like the others said, there are and will always be some jerks in all aspects of life...

My advice to you would be, focus on all your positive experiences (on here or elsewhere), and pls don't let these few misadventures waste the fun you have while collecting, and while trading with other members from the SCF community.

These "difficult" people will eventually leave the forum, and/or the hobby. Also, keep in mind that in life, some people are never happy/satisfied, no matter what we/you do. They take everything for granted, never appreciate the efforts others put in, wanna receive/take but never give...

Lastly, I would say that these jerks are distributed pretty evenly across all areas of society... What we need to do is just not let that or them get to our heads, and move on...

I wouldn't worry too much about this Joe. Like others who have posted, I have traded with you a few times and have always found the experience most enjoyable. I think some traders tend to forget that card collecting is supposed to be a fun hobby, but I think a few traders tend to treat it to much as a business, which tends to sap a lot of the fun out of it.
