I noticed my addy on file is our place in Charlotte, NC... I assumed you sent it
there...No problem, as my mail is forwarded.
BTW, I seem to remember your name and Mitchell, S.D....corn palace?
When I was with sportscardfun it seems I may have traded with you???
But that's been years....I was in Mitchell back in 1995 as we made a West
coast trip in our new RV the summer before I retired. Small world.

Ed, money was sent to your Florida address.
Yes, I think we traded on sportscardfun years ago. That was one of the first sites I traded on.
Everyone needs to come and check out the world's only corn palace! Glad you passed through 30 years ago. A lot has changed since then.
Thanks again for the deal.

The last thing that may interest you is Forever coils of US Stamps. Background:
My father back in the early 50 & 60's bought sheets of US Stamps. Most was 100
stamp sheets 1/2-cent through 7-cents. When he passed away in 1982 he had,
multiples of these lower sheets. We had to come up with the total value to settle
the estate. We quit counting at over $2000 face value. The stamps set there for
many years until, being a veteran, I got involved after listing to Bill O'Reilly on Fox
around 1990's? He was talking about helping veterans and some were sending
coupons (from the Sunday newspaper). Each Sunday there would be 1 to 3 booklets
of coupons (food & drug & other items (pets) with cents off. SO, My wife and I figured
we had been blessed and should donate to the veterans. We were going to add to the
collection plate on Sundays. We weren't rich but had more than enough...Then when
we listened to the way to help veterans ( I had spent 30-months overseas in the military)
and understood the importance of coupons. We retired in 96 and after buying a small
26' self contained RV, we started traveling around the US. We starte traveling in the
summer of 95 and made a west coast and stopped at Mitchell for a couple of days.
Anyway, when we got back in July of 95 we got the news that AEP was offering
buyout. I was HR Supervisor of the Maintenance Division of the Power Plants
in WV & Ohio. and the buyout bean in Oct 95. My boss ask me if I coud stay until
the end of the year and since my daughter (our last child) was finsihing in May of gave
96, I told him I wouos stay until June 96 as the contracts began discussion in Jan 96
and I had been to every one since 1973. He quickly go it approved and she finished
in May of 96 in Nursing and I retired in June 96 with enough money to buy a place in
Florida, thus for the past 29-years we have spent some 6-months in Florida and 6-months
north. Ended up all 3 of our kids ended up in Chalotte, NC. and in 2004 we sold our
place in Wellsburg, WV, and went back & forth to Florida. Our system was: late Dec.
we went to Florida and came back to Charlotte late April, early May and stayed until
mid-Sept and back to Florida until near Thansgiving and stayed in Charlotte until late
Dec. We have got to grow up with or kids and now 7-grandchildren. Opps, I married
my oldest grandson 3-yrs ago and now have 8-grandchildren as his wife became my
8th grandchild. Anyway, We started a coupon program in our Retirement community
in 2013 and got 24 involved with us and I started sending boxes of coupons to a
coordinator in Daytona Beach twice a month with some $200,000+ clipped coupons
(every Tuesday at 12:30pm we gathered in our main hall in our community and clipped
coupons). I had thej sorrted as the military coordinator wanted - Gallon zip lock bags
with a note taped on each bag that indicate approx amount in the bag with Food or
Non-food 0r Pet or Baby Coupons. Bottom line is we did this for 14 years both in
our Charlotte Placs and in our Retirement community here in Titusville, Fl, where we
got 42 to help. I also got the paper delivery people to give us any extra booklets. I
was for about 2 years using stamps from what my Dad left and the PO allowed me
to put these on the back. I counted the number of stamps on one of the boxes and
it had 164 stamps!!! I decided to sell some of the to collectors....It turned out I found
a true avid stamp collectot in Charlotte who had bought many coils (100 forever
stamps) as he send lots of packages in hos business. At that time the 100 forever
were some .50 or .55@ And the first patch he told me he bought 40 - coils as he
was sure it woud be a great buy and he would save lots..Anyway, when I showed him
my sheets he said he would make an offer on the sheets which was 2 to 8 times face
and originally he ask if I would trade..(sure I was tired of "licking" slews of stamp) .
The first trade was some 20 coils (these are sealed by the P.O.). he threw in containers
that housed the coils... when you used some, just tighten back the coil and put them
back in the containers. Later he wanted more and the forever stamp kept increasing
I the last group I traded for 24 coils and now they are 73-cents@ or $73 a coil.
I got out of the courpons for the Military as the newspaper coupons have tried up in the
past year. and now MAYBE you get i booklet or none and the majority of coupons are
non-food. I was proud of this as our groups over 14 years as I kep a running records
each month and when I quit this some months ago I had almost ended withy $7 MILLION
coupons send in. All these went to overseas bases and the manufactors honored the
coupons 6-months past the expiration date.
The last trade I made several years ago, as I remember, I traded for some 24 coils. I
still have (as I already had some when I made that trade) and I just counted and have
14 sealed coils remaining. I had a few more but started selling these at $40 a coil
($73.00 Face). If you want a few at a flat $40 each coil to use on letters or packages.
LMK, as when they are gone thats it...
I have saved some for my use as I'm sending "care packages" to my grandchildren in
college. They love the snacks...A small box cost some $14 to send...with insurance and
tracking. Of our first 5 - 4 have just finished but I included them on the snacks. The
last 2 are Junior at N C State & Freshman at S. Car.....Our 7th is a Senior at Appy State
and she dropped out this poast year as she want to work for a couple years to see what
work is like. I told her...if work was fun, everyone would be doing it.
