Hey.

To be straightforward - I'm not much of a basketball collector or basketball fan in general however I buy small/moderate sized basketball collections on occasion just so I have basketball to sell when I set up at card shows.. I generally like to keep a diverse/balanced inventory so I have something for every collector...I mainly deal in vintage baseball and hockey so forgive my ignorance, lol.. Well, a couple months back I took advantage of an opportunity to purchase a couple of really thick binders loaded with just basketball stars HOF'ers rookies,etc..Again, I'm not very good with basketball but I know the big names - I know who Kobe is, lol.. Anyway, the Collector's Edge Kobe "Ice Sculptures" Acetate Die-Cut Rookie pictured below was in the binder. I don't know if it's a parallel or an insert, after looking it up, it probably makes sense to have it slabbed, I mean it appears to be a pretty decent card but I wouldn't be opposed to selling or trading it raw either.. I don't plan on submitting anything for at least a month or two so I figured I'd put the card on the boards and see what happens..

As far as the card, I am familiar with Collector's Edge, but not with this card or set but I'd assume some er most of you basketball collectors are.. It's a pretty sweet card - an early acetate die cut, and it's a Kobe RC.. It's a pack-fresh card, no scratches or any other issues that usually affect acetate cards.. It will grade at least a 9..

I would be interested. I do have some hockey but mainly a basketball guy. I don’t think I have any 1 or 2 cards that would be worth the Kobe but probably a couple in the lot that are $40-50 I am guessing. You’d probably know more. Interested? I’d have to get you pics or a list of what I have when I get back home in a couple of days.
