    Inventory Manager question

    CC Clearly Revered 2023/24

    CC Clearly Revered 2023/24 back

I was wondering who is currently looking after the updates for the Inventory Manager? I'd like to add this card, but can't find it listed. Also, I was hoping that Tij Iginla could have his own list of cards and be removed from Jarome's list. Thanks.

I believe no one is in hockey as the person who is listed has stepped back. As it a job that takes time and is a thankless task. If your interested in helping add cards to the IM for hockey just let me know.

I don't know at all how the SCF card inventory manager works, as I never used it... Can't we just manually add some cards to our inventory, on our own?! I mean, like for this card, I went on the Beckett website. Obviously, almost all the cards are listed there (besides Promos, Proofs, etc.). So as I just said, went on beckett (although nowadays you have to be subscribed in order to search for cards (but it's free)), and found your Iginla card above...

Thanks for your response. I have never used the Beckett website, so not sure how it is set up. The SCF Inventory Manager allows me to add images, and organizes my Iginla cards on the screen by year/series/set. I can open the whole set from each Iginla card listed, which allows me to see what the card should look like if I am not familiar with it. I'm assuming the Player Inventory option is connected to the main Inventory Manager. I have printed that for my Iginla pc, and placed the pages in binders to give me an additional organizational tool. I take a binder with the last 10 years of Iginla cards with me to card shows and check off what I already have.

    johnathan,

just going to be honest in my thoughts. To let members do this you would be a nightmare for many reasons based on the TTM module which suffers from.

1). You know how SCF glitches and you get the double post from time to time.. We have hundreds of those each year which I have to fix each one manually when reported.

    2) when addresses or mistakes happen spelling, wrong address, etc. they also get reported. So, this would fall to staff to fix all the errors that happen.

3). Also, when these address or things are not posted properly time or a comment is left that someone does not like it can turn personal. etc. They get reported as they are public so again someone from the staff has to fix it.

4). Pictures need to be verified but folks have uploaded tons of bad photo’s that did not meet the spec. Hence, that why the staff used to go thru all the photo’s and make sure on,y good photo’s were used.

5). Since this was custom coded by Luc it has no options tobe done by members. I am sure a coder could develop a go around but who here is going to get the owner to let someone go poking around when the system in place is fine if you have volunteers to keep the IM going.

As stated above I now longer have the time to add each new set as it is released. One set can take me anywhere from an hour to 5 not counting the even more tedious task of adding update cards from previous years. I am, however, still here for fixing problems with existing sets, and believe I have now separated Tij and Jaromes cards ( if not let me know)
    Wayne Gretzky PC 1671 cards
    Wade Boggs PC 411 cards
    Tony Gwynn PC 195 cards

Thank you very much, I really appreciate all of the time and effort you have put into the Inventory Manager over the years! I just tried to take a look at my Iginla cards but I'm getting an error message. It says in part:

    A Database Error Occurred
    Error Number: 1114
    The table 'session is full
Then several lines of text I don't understand

Tij Iginla’s cards have been taken out of Jarome’s checklist. Thank you!
