Wtiness Authentication Stickers for Autos - Yea or Nay?

My apologies if this has been discussed elsewhere. Most of my autographs are TTM, but I'm planning on attending the Hall of Fame Signings in Cooperstown this year for some of my bigger cards (mid-grade 1969 Topps Reggie Jackson and Johnny Bench). How do you all feel about witness authentication stickers? This is for my PC and they will eventually be graded and authenticated by PSA (I like having my cards slabbed). I will never sell them unless I have to, but I can't say the same for my daughter, who will ultimately inherit them (she is too young to get a sense of whether she will enjoy the hobby as I do). I want to make it easy for my daughter if she chooses to sell and want to maximize value. I know many people (including myself) hate witness authentication. Is PSA authentication (essentially an opinion) good enough? It seems that way, but I just wanted to hear how others think about the topic.

Who knows what the collectibles landscape will look like when she chooses to make a decision - this all may be for naught.

    Thanks!

I would just take pictures of all the items, cards, etc. that you have singed. That gives an assurance of any person trading for the item that the autographs are legit. Just my two cents as I never go the extra step to get Tristar to authenticate the autos at the National's efc. I mean they are bleeding you dry for the auto and want to upcharge for verification come on. A picture of the athlete signing the item is good in my eyes especially if it is a unique item. As I have these shoes in my basement on display as my step son made them with a few autos signed when I purchased them Bruce Smith and Andre Reed. I have added Jim Kelly and Marv Levy auto to the shoe and will probably seek Thurman auto in the future but not in a rush. Would not a photo of Marv signing these shoes be as good as any verification by a company? Do what is best for you as in the end you need to decide which route to take. I say save the money but that is just my two cents.
