new layout need feedback and opinions please

I like the layout and the color scheme.

Howver, since you did ask for an opinion, (and I am not shy about sharing mine): I am not a big fan of animated gifs, nor of flames on web pages.

I say this out of kindness, my Giant's fan brother! :)

I agree with Rooster about the animated gif. To me those always make web pages look like they were created in the mid 90's. I noticed you have your e-mail address on the page a couple times, I wouldn't do that. The second your page gets indexed by Google you're going to be targeted by spammers. There are a ton of websites that will generate an image of your e-mail address which is always better to display on the web, making it much harder for spam bots to target you.

Hey Will nice site, I have recomendation to all the poeple on the site who what to creat their own online site. Try using wordpress, it is the easiest thing to use and its free. you can download a ton of templates and the site look like you have been designing sites forever. go to wordpress.org to check it out. Just a suggestion......
