Knicks and Thunder both sweep their respective series while the Cavs/Pistons and Wolves/Spurs series are very competitive at 2-2 apiece. I figured the Thunder would sweep the Lakers even without JDub because the Lakers didn't have Luka, Luka is way better than JDub (no offense to JDub at all but Luka is a top 5 player in the L), and even when Luka was healthy in the regular season, the Thunder dominated them because the Lakers don't have anywhere near their depth.
Much as I'm rooting for the Cavs, they have yet to prove they can win on the road, and they'll need to since the Pistons are the higher seed. I still remain unconvinced they have the toughness to pull out road wins. As for the Pistons, they have too many glaring weaknesses. I think the Knicks go on to make the Finals in this weak conference and they'll get beaten by whomever comes out West.
West is where things are much more interesting. The Wolves are really doing a great job getting in the Spurs' heads and fighting them tooth and nail, all while Edwards isn't even 100%. This helps give OKC an extended rest, which they'll need against (likely) the Spurs, who had their number all regular season. Whoever ends up winning the Wolves/Spurs series, and it'll probably be San Antonio, the Thunder will almost certainly lose some games in the WCF to either of these teams. The Wolves also match up well with them and tied them in their season series. I could see the Wolves getting at least a game and possibly two while the Spurs could honestly beat them completely. I'm sure they'd much rather face the Wolves, but again, either way, they'll finally have to deal with a competitive series. They'll need JDub healthy, but thankfully Ajay Mitchell has really been stepping up for them. It remains to be seen if he can do that against a defense like the Wolves' or Spurs' though. He's just a second year guy, but he'll need to try because JDub will still need time to get back into game shape, so it'll be a challenge regardless.

I'm so tired of Cleveland's lack of effort on 50/50 balls (except Max Strus, who always hustles), the casual careless turnovers, the inability to fight back with physicality, the inept handling of full court presses and traps that make them barely get past the halfcourt line...this is clown basketball. ECF teams are not this weak. I want them to succeed, but they keep disappointing. Soft as cat fur.

I agree but I almost don't even care for this game 7. Seems like the Cavs and Pistons both don't care or can't compete and they are just backing slowly into this matchup with the Knicks. Basically you have to have a winner out of this bracket. Just makes the rest of the East look like a joke especially with the Celtics getting bounced so early. This is why fans say the regular season is meaningless because the Cavs and Pistons can rack up regular seasons wins left and right but they lay a rotten egg come playoff time.Selling all my cards here updated as of June------------> Hidden Content

Looks like you're right as the Pistons are saying Duncan Robinson and Caris LeVert are now questionable for game 7. Game 7! Those guys have hit a lot of outside shots for them, and for a team so heavily reliant on its superstar (Cade Cunningham), that's bad news. Unless they have something really serious, they should play. Jalen Williams played with a broken wrist in last year's playoffs.

Robinson and LeVert ended up playing, but Cavs have an enormous lead here in the 3rd - if they hold onto this, big credit to Donovan Mitchell for giving up the selfish hero ball in favor of passing to and including the bigs. Mobley and Allen are eating down low. Overcoming the soft label from the bigs and bad habits from Mitchell would be HUGE - Cavs haven't made the ECF since LeBron in 2018. They've caused me so much frustration lately, but I'm hopeful now. Just avoid the choke here and put away JBB and his unimaginative offense.

A pretty disappointing end for the Pistons but they will explain it away because the team is young and learning so they will get a kind of pass here. The Cavs needed this more as they were going to blow up the team with a loss but the Pistons still need another piece if they want to move forward next year in the playoffs since they should have been beaten by the Magic if not for the Wagner injury.

What an epic opener for that much anticipated Spurs/Thunder series. Double overtime, Wembanyama took over. Great effort by the little guy Caruso on both ends, weak performance by SGA, Wembanyama was just too good. This is the real NBA Finals here. Spurs could very well win this series with how much they have OKC's number, and Wemby could get his first title already. No small feat given how much OKC dominates everyone else. The Spurs are the one team who match up so well with them and Wemby really is a generational talent.

I know it was a weak performance by SGA and he's the MVP and all but Chet putting up 8 points and 8 rebounds isn't going to cut it for a guy that was drafted that high and had hype around him.
The good news for the Thunder is they barely lost this game with everyone besides Caruso playing poorly but the bad news is they are now down in this series and probably won't recover from it. A close loss is still a loss.

Chet has way too many games where he's too laid back. At his skinny frame, he needs to be getting into his moves and shot bag and help pick up the offensive slack.

What a shameful collapse by the Cavaliers.
KA waiting so long to call a timeout during that Knicks run was absolutely mind boggling.
