I discussed with @michigandan on the scoring for All-Star game. We are going with the NL winning with the score of 6-6. @Davz13 gets the point on Tiebreaker #1 - Exact score of winner with the correct winner.

He won by Tiebreaker #4 : Closest score of the winner without going over.

Why would that be the tie breaker?

The official score was 6-6 and NL wins HR Swing-off Tiebreaker, 4-3 according to ESPN scoreboard -> https://www.espn.com/mlb/scoreboard/_/date/20250715

If you go to the MLB site, they have the "final" score as NL 7 AL 6 (since they won the HR total. They then put it down as the score NL 7 AL 6 as the final score.

NOTE:mlb.com, at the top of it they have daily scores. If you click on the "arrow" pointed left it'll take you to the previous scores. They have the "final" ALL-STAR game score as NL 7 AL 6.

OK well that explains your difference in the tiebreaker but the source I linked which I use was ESPN scoreboard and I also stated I discussed with @michigandan the decision was the final score decision was 6-6 so I guess it was a good thing that it didn't come down to a tiebreaker that two different people would have received the point.

@cjs-sportscards and I are the ones running the contest and as he said we discussed it and that is what was determined. I was not aware of the swing off, so that's my bad! Next year we can revisit the scoring of it should it happen again. Dan

I didn't mean to upset y'all. I was just pointing out that the "winner" y'all mentioned had also won by Tiebreaker 4 in the rules. Sorry if it upset y'all. Have a good night and weekend.

Nobody's upset, I was just trying to be transparent with the way it was scored. Again I apologize for any confusion about this, I was unaware of the swing off. So that's on me,
