A great performance by Booty, Jarrett and the USC defense. And what was that about Michigan being the #2 team in the nation? :)

USC played like a #1 team, but this year is Ohio St.'s year. USC will be better next year, and Dwayne Jarrett and John-David Booty's performances in that bowl game was incredible. Also, Michigan is a #3 team. USC is #2 IMO.

well im not a michigan fan but i will still defend them a little... they went on the road and got beat by a good team. That is why the Big Ten is terrible in bowl games... everyone they play is a home game for the other team. USC should not have a bowl game in pasadena unless every other year the Rose Bowl is held at the dome in Indy to even it out. Look at tonights game... Notre Dame and LSU at the superdome in New Orleans.. how is that a neutral site? I really wish the whole system would get somewhat of an overhaul and switch some things around.

reguardless, if michigan was THAT good of a team (worthy of a national championship shot) then playing "on the road" shouldn't have mattered.....hell, UCLA beat SC in a MUST WIN GAME for the trojans!!! im just not buying location being a legitimate excuse for a 2 TOUCHDOWN loss.....i understand that it sucks to have to play "road games", trust me, if the powers that be wont put in a playoff systemt, they DEFINATELY aren't moving the rose bowl outta pasadena!! same with the sugar bowl....lots of tradition in those 2 games....as long as the pac 10 gets the nod to the rose bowl this will always be a possibility.....its gonna happen one of these years in a super bowl, and still wont be a good enough excuse for me....i know that michigan got their fair share of tickets for that game!!! its not like it was an SC home game and they kept michigan from getting tickets....there is an allotment of tickets that are available to each bowl team...maybe michigan fan was just "bitter" for getting the cold shoulder by the BCS and didn't support their team as much as they could....that stadium could have very easily been 1/2 blue and maize!!!
