Finally Sent My Maravich Auto Possibility for Authentication
I made a post here about it almost a couple years ago about this card. A lot of life has gotten in the way, but today I finally sent along my Pete Maravich card to see if the writing on the card was actually his autograph. It's been in my collection since the early 00s and always wanted to know its authenticity. I decided to go through PSA for the process. I'm really hoping it's real, but at this point I'd rather just know the answer either way. Keep your fingers crossed!
I did my best to take as clear a picture of the signature as I could before I sent it along, as the grading case may make it even more difficult to see the signature than it already is:

If you had it in person and the athletes did it in pen like in the old days they are not the most beautiful auto's. We were just happy to get an auto from an athlete and was not thinking about the placement and the whole aesthetic of how the auto would look hanging in my room or for future value. Look forward to your results when you get it back.

Thanks for the kind words, all. I've only had the card since the early 00's and wasn't around for the actual signing, so I honestly have no idea if it's real or not. I can only hope that PSA has an answer as it's something I've wanted to know for years at this point. And to think this was the "other" card I got along with the one Celtics card of his (pretty sure that one is unsigned).
