What do I do if the following happens?....
Ok, I have invested a lot of time and money in Tatum Bell. He, Mike Bell, Brandon Marshall and the late Darrent Williams are my favorite players. Rumors as well as most fans say Tatum will be traded the off season. When I first heard this, I was scared to death so I purchased 4 Mike Bell autos to make me feel better (lol). So if Tatum is gone and he is my favorite player, what should I do? I am not sure I will like him as much if he goes to the 49ers or something. The only teams where I could still follow him would be the Giants and the Jets (I am a New Yorker)...
So,
has this ever happened to any of you? Your favorite player moves away and you are stuck with a ton of his cards?
Another problem I have is that I can't stop getting his stuff. I love my collection so much that I keep getting his stuff every day (asking for it at least)... I have started to get more Mike Bell because I know he is not leaving. It is really a bad situation and I am scared.
Help,
Ben

yes 2 players i collected pretty heavily one in hockey and one in baseball. hockey was alexei kovalev of the rangers, i kept all his cards anyway and he got traded back to the rangers, unfortunately they traded him away again. alfonso soriano was the baseball player, i sold or traded most of his yankee cards once cano came along because i knew alfonso wouldn,t be back,if i were you i,d still collect him if he,s one of your favorites and actually you might be able to get his cards easier once he,s traded away.take care steve

That is one reason why i "try" to avoid collecting a certain player and focus more on a team (Giants).
My advice, if he is truely one of your favorite players then you will not have a hard time continuing to collect him. That is easy for me to say though since I don't really have a favorite player that I collect (although Sinorice Moss and Kiwanuka are growing on me)

If he is your favorite player, why should you care where he plays????? It sounds like you are more of a team collector and not a favorite player collector...

I am just having a hard time even thinking of him in another uni. I can't imagine having his cards in a Dolphins uniform or some team like that.

im a skins fan, and i collect all of my skins (current and the older guys)....however, i am also a roscoe parrish collector....that has nothing to do with teams he's played for, just that i like him comming out of college, knew he would be affordable to collect, and has some potential.

This happened to me with A-rod that @$%#*^. The only reason I stopped collecting A-Rod after he was traded was because he went to those damn Yankees. Anyway at least it was A-Rod so I'm just using them as trade bait and selling them every once in a while. As for Tatum personally I would try my best to confirm the rumors and If they were confirmed I would drop all the common jrsys and autos and keep the stuff I like
