I think it's a PTO. I read that he will play one pre-season game as a formal "goodbye" to fans. I genuinely do not believe he will actually play this year. I would love it if he did because Fleury is my favourite goalie of all time. I do take him at his word that he is retiring.

Funny to see him have fun with that announcement photo. Should be a blast to see him in a Penguins jersey one last time! Will be a treat for the fans.

It would be awesome to see Fleury play one more season with the mighty Penguins, but I think that this is just to get him to retire as a penguin, so 1 preseason game and then he will retire as a Penguins which is the right thing to do.
