FS - Alcaraz/Djokovic - Topps Tennis Chrome - 1/1 Dual Auto - Heritage Auction

Wanted to share something that might interest fellow collectors here.

I consigned my 1/1 2024 Topps Chrome Tennis Carlos Alcaraz & Novak Djokovic Dual Autograph Superfractor to Heritage Auctions.


It’s currently sitting at $24,000 with 5 days left.

What’s been fascinating to me is how it compares to recent Alcaraz solo 1/1 sales (like the bat knob and rookie), which have gone north of $220k. Right now the dual auto with Djokovic — arguably the GOAT — is trading at just ~10% of those prices. Raises an interesting question: do collectors prefer the hype of a young superstar in Alcaraz on his own, or does adding another legend actually dilute the card?

Would love to hear people’s thoughts — especially as Topps just teased the new Triumphant set with a Nadal/Djokovic/Murray triple auto.

People really don't prefer multiple autograph cards in any sport to the solo ones. Maybe in non sports they prefer the top autographs to be duals and triples? But that's really it especially with rookies. You'd have to have something like a Jordan/Kobe/Lebron autograph that obviously can't be done anymore to draw in more casual collectors pump up the values more than they are individually.
