    JaMarcus Russell, wow...1st QB taken?

After what JaMarcus Russell did last night vs Notre Dame he stands leaps above Quinn and Troy Smith...he is just as big as Culpepper, and can move and get around, he looked very very good last night...Assuming he comes out the Raiders would be foolish not to take him...

Russel is a completely different player than when i saw him his freshman year..he made many bad decisions and didn't look like he could play at all..but after watching some of the throws he made last night (like that deep one he threw on the run) i was amazed. He reminds me a lot of culpepper..and i would take him over any qb coming out this year.

i think he still has some maturing to do as well...the one pick he threw in the endzone was moreorless a ball just thrown up and make the WR make a play...i know a certain WR in Oakland would LOVE that style of a QB...

they said last night he can throw the ball 70 yards sitting down...THATS SICK!

    Yea....EXCEPT...from exactly what you said:

    He's as big as Culpepper...

Now let me ask you this...how many "big" QB's are doing ANYTHING in the NFL? Culpepper is always hurt, and so is Leftwich. I just can't see how this guy is gonna be any different.

Plus, Troy Smith is better. (HAHA, I'm biased of course.)

PS: You'll change your mind on who the best QB in the nation is after you see TS light it up Monday.)

no i wont...lol Troy Smith is similar to Vince Young and im not a fan of either....Russell wow'd me...

and big QB...well Culpepper cant really say is always hurt...he was fine till he tore his knee...and he cameback too early...its like 1 injury, Leftwich is always hurt...but Culpepper was MVP like in Minn with Moss...

Russell isnt as for lack of better words "fat" as Culpepper...maybe Russell is better compared to McNabb?

Id say similar Qbs are those of

McNabb, Jason Campbell? maybe even a little McNairish,

OK....well, McNabb is always hurt as well...LOL.

And from what you said, Sean...

Troy Smith similar to Vince Young (ROY)

JaMarcus Russell similar to McNabb or Culpepper (Both always hurt)

Even if I'm not a TS fan, I'd still take him over Russell from YOUR comparisons...LOL.

I'm not hatin on the guy at all...I'm just saying, bigger QB's are injury prone.

And....McNabb may be a Top-5 QB, but he's hurt EVERY SEASON.

people have bad luck i guess...the positive with mcnabb at least in my mind is its different injuries everytime he doesnt have a "weak" spot...

85 yds standing up, 60 on his knees, 40 on his butt...remember that cause of Howie Long always messing with Terry Bradshaw...hell, ten years ago i would have been doin good to heave one 40 yds standing up...and on target, it's miller time...the kid has some incredible athletic skills and here's a kicker, he doesn't have an ego problem....I think if he gets drafted by a team that has a good qb coach that actually works with him, he could be special...If he gets thrown to the wolves his rookie year without a supporting cast around him, i.e. Oakland, He won't last long. Texans oughta take a long hard look at him come draft day since they passed up on the hometown kid and look what that got them.
