COMC isn't the only one having delays I guess. eTopps/Fanatics and PSA Vault are as bad or as worse. Is the card industry just woefully understaffed or is this problem commonplace everywhere? I don't really buy online so any delays wouldn't go noticed by me

Wonder where the poster heard his rumblings from. So, many folks post then never share their source or where they hear thing. I head this or that well what is your source LOL. I totally understand if you have a lot of inventory, cards in hand, etc, you have a reason to be nervous. Hopefully, everything is kosher and it works out for everyone in the end. As COMC really does serve a great segment of the hobby.

Made my first purchase from COMC recently (12/1). I still haven't seen the card, and it will still be a while (expected shipping date 1/31/26). Is shipping in excess of 60 days a norm (seems hard to believe with what they are charging).?
I read the redit link above and now wonder what might happen. potential messy situation there.Last edited by DaSoxFan; 12-16-2025 at 10:55 AM.

Totally agree. Ever since they implemented the COMC Mailbox Service, it's been a phenomenal way for Canadian buyers to purchase cards on eBay from US sellers and avoid the schmozzle of the Global Shipping Program. You end up with a double-win: you pay less for the actual card because there's fewer bidders and you pay less (sometimes even nothing) for shipping instead of $18USD++. Yes you have to wait a bit, but it's a piece of cardboard that's going into a box anyways. And with E-Pack, etc., it makes it very easy and comforting to have a (up to now) reliable place to store your cards until you're ready to get them sent all at once.
Shipping times can vary depending on your service level. Rushed/Expedited you get to jump the queue and you get your stuff faster. I'm pretty patient and unless there's something like an autograph session happening where I need the card ASAP I've usually gone with the standard shipping service. 6-8 weeks is pretty, well, standard. They've got a huge inventory and there's always lots of orders in the pipeline. But they are generally spot-on. If it says X date, I know I'll get an email 1-2 weeks out that says it's moved up to the packing/pulling stage, then the ready for shipment, then shipment on or even a couple days before the stated shipping date.
And it's that "like clockwork" history that makes the current situation all the more ominous. In my 10+ years using them, I've never seen this before, and it's highly troubling.

I have been a huge fan of COMC for years now. I've submitted a lot of cards, have a decent sized port (nothing crazy good in there), and done pretty well on sales over the years, IMO.
It's been a great place to buy cards, and as you said - the mailbox service is very good too.
There prices have all risen over the years. I don't use it as much as I once did (the mailbox) and I have not submitted new cards in a long time - but I still really like the site.
COMC working with UD for ePack has made things good & bad on the site. It has created a "race to the bottom" on prices for some cards, but it's an EASY way to get your ePack hits into a place where you can sell them (if that's what you want to do) or combine them with other purchases, for a single shipment home.
It is a fact that some ePack releases are now NOT available to transfer to COMC, and instead they are available to be transferred to "The Authority". I do not know much about The Authority, but the little bit of poking around I've done - it seems this is the same company that did the slabbing for UD The Cup Rookie Cards.
I can't imagine that UD has a long term plan to send cards to two places for fulfillment, so I speculate that COMC is going to be out (sooner or later) from ePack.
I do not know how that will impact their business, but I don't imagine it will be a good thing for them.

We have a shipment update! Apparently my cards are now packaged for delivery to Canada. This is a welcome development.

That is good news considering all the damage to the houses, roadways, in the past week. Hopefully, COMC starts moving some back orders out to keep customers happy.

Not saying that COMC couldn't go out of business but how can they go out of business with their business model and the sports card and non sports card industry being this hot? It just doesn't make sense. I guess they could have had drug or gambling issues gobbling up profits but if you can't make it in the most profitable modern time for sports cards and non sports card there really is no hope for anybody else. They survived on the very lean times of the 2006-2010 years. That was a bad time believe me.
