Thanks love this kind of stuff. I think I had the 1980 big book which said the Mantle was 1600 dollars for the Topps back in the day.

How did ED MATHEWS to have the "HIGHEST VALUE" on his "RC" ??? Eddie Mathews was a great player, but there are several on that list that in my opinion should have HIGHER VALUES than his.

It all about the set as you do not see Mickey Mantle 52 topps not the list. Just saying that is one reason.

Don is correct. I didn't post the 1952 Topps section and they consider the Mantle and Mays rookies from being in Bowman so only Eddie Mathews would have a 1952 Topps rookie card.
Here's the price guide page and the best part is the DOWN arrows on almost all of the 1952 Topps set including the Mickey Mantle!

That goes along with what I said as I remember telling my mom if we could buy a 1600 mantle rookies it would be worth money down the road LOL
