PLEASE HELP - redemption question

i just bought a box of 05 playoff prestige from my local card store.
when i opened the box i got a nice draft picks rights /50 auto redemption of cedric benson, a card that books for $80. However on the back it says that it had to be redeemed by 11/2/06. Is there anything that i can do? I doubt it, but if any one knows anything please help me out.

I would say just send it in, its worth a shot. Maybe theyll at least compensate you with something. It hasnt been expired too long...

i think i might, i was so pumped when i got it to and then when i was done i actually read it, which pretty much broke mpretty good box otherwise i got almost all of the good rookies

yes, send it in, playoff is pretty good about things like that.

I'd say send it in also, because at the rate that Playoff/Donruss gets redemption cards back, it's more than likely that they still don't have all of their 2005 cards redeemed. 2 days ago, I finally got my 2005 Leaf Rookies & Stars Fabian Washington RC Auto 59/150 back. Playoff has been the worst company, as far as, time it takes to redeem cards.

Playoff has a great customer service department. I would call them and explain it to them that you just bough the box and see what they will do before you send it in. You can always send the redemption card to that person's attention. You may need a receipt from the card store showing you just bough the box.

so long as it isn`t an Upper Deck product you stand a chance of being compensated with something. UD is the WORST company out there. Same thing happened to me with a 2000 UD Encore FB. I pulled not one, but two, redemption autos. Plaxico Burress and Darrell Jackson. The cards were expired and I contacted UD customer service and they flat out told me they will not be honored in any way. I asked if they could send me anything in return and the answer was NO. This Matter Is Closed. I do not buy Upper Deck anything anymore. I`m also boycotting Topps. Not for their customer service, but rather because of their ridiculous odds of pulling an autographed card from their products. I`ve been buying Topps stuff since 1999. Probably over 20 boxes and NEVER ONCE pulled an autographed card. They can keep their odds and stick them where the sun don`t shine. Donruss/Playoff is about the only thing left for me. I`m getting out of the collecting thing soon anyway. I get overwhelmed sometimes by all the cards I have stored. I`m now giving away all my old commons from score and pro set since they ain`t worth a dime. Make some kids happy at the school my daughters go to. I bring a box of cards every now and then and give them to the boys. Helps my girls out too. No one bothers them at school because the boys know that their dad brings them cards. ;) Plus I`m a bit intimidating in size and looks. All the kids think I`m a professional Wrestler. They say I look like Goldberg/Goldmann(?) or one of the Bushcrackers(?). I don`t know what they`re talking about. I havn`t watched that stuff since the mid 70`s when Ivan Putski, Bob Bachman and Baron Von Rashke were the talk.
