Would you purchase these three hockey cards at the marked prices, given the recent comp?
I was talking to a buddy of mine, and he mentioned a kid who was set up at the show had some hockey. Seeing the Haseks, I quickly pulled the trigger, as I think one could argue he was one of the best goalies ever. We quickly came to a deal. I texted the pickup to two members of SCF, but neither seemed interested when I shared it with them. I thought the prices were fair and sold them quickly to 2 customers and 1 dealer at the show in a few hours. Would anyone have picked these cards up at those prices? My main thing is that when you're at a show, saving 3 to 5 bucks on shipping adds up, especially when you can get nicer multiple cards. I did find the Die_Cut Hasek out of 3 green sold for 23 U.S., but since it was from Slabshark, add an additional $13 for shipping. Definitely a good buy, imo, after seeing that.
Thoughts?

I'm not a Leaf guy, but anytime you can get low #'d autos of those types of players for that kind of price....heck yeah.
Habs fan and collector! Current PC's: Nick Suzuki, Cole Caufield, and Lane Hutson...., and of course...

What hurts the value on them is that they are from Leaf products. An old-school hard-signed Hasek auto from a pre-2000 Topps product or some hard-signed UD auto will be way more expensive. Still cool to get autos of such legends!

Great buys! You also make a great point about the shipping savings.
Shipping is especially an issue with complete sets.Jesus Said:
"Come Unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

I am like you and not a big Leaf guy, but I totally respect it; it lets a lot of folks collect cards they normally couldn't afford. That brings me to my main question: When choosing between licensed cards or hard-signed autographed cards, which is more important to you as a collector? Do you prioritize an official license, or is a hard-signed autograph at a good price more valuable? For example, I recently picked up one of my favorite autograph sets. The 1996-97 Upper Deck BAP Be A Player is great because it has great photos and hard-signed autos at prices I find fair, even though these cards lack an NHL License. As a collector, would you skip these cards because they're unlicensed, or do you go for the hard-signed autograph regardless? Personally, I love this set for its great Hall of Famers and team favorites at a great price, and I've picked up Mike Modano, Ed Belfour, Chris Chelios, Konstantinov, and about 60 more.
This set resonates with me for several reasons:
1) The iconic heartthrob image of Mike Modano, which is especially popular with female fans.
2) Ed Belfour is pictured with his striking goalie mask. Many goalies in this series feature impressive helmet photography.
3) The Ice War subset pays tribute to enforcers, well before such tributes became trendy.
4) Includes an autograph from V.K. before his tragic accident—a rare find and a reminder of what might have been for the Wings dynasty.
