I think your "note" may be hindering some people from trading with you. Nobody wants to get cards in white envelopes.

Also, it really seems like nobody here really cares about base, besides the few set collectors on the site.

I do have a 2006 Fleer Ultra Drew RC if you're interested.

Part of the problem is the "bandwagon". Some (not all) people jump all over a hot player hoping to make a quick buck. This really makes it harder for true collectors to get the cards.

Yeah you should definitely think about buying some bubble mailers as most people on this site use them (unless usually you both trade base - not RCs - and agree upon it). Also, if you don't use sleeves I would recommend it. I just got 2 cards from differents sellers on eBay and both shipped in a top loader (no sleeve) and a white envelope. The cards ended up having not the best corners, so you should really think about upgrading the way you mail.

Other than that, yes, the bandwagoners are either all over Drew cards, or not giving them up for what you would want (not saying they overcharge, just saying they don't trade/sell for what you would have/had in mind).

You really need to do better than that. Bubble mailers are pretty inexpensive, and are definitely worth it. Personally, I just reuse mailers from when I buy or trade cards. I figure why waste trees and throw them away when they are still perfectly good. Just cover up the old addresses and postage.

But yeah, using a sleeve and toploader with a white envelope is not a good thing. I've seen cards get damaged that way. The envelopes go through the automatic sorting machines at the post office, while bubble mailers are sorted by hand. If you enjoy trading here, and want to do more, I suggest you pick up some bubble mailers.

I feel sort of a need to come to the defense of xpatsfanx2006x....

Although most of us HATE to be sent pwe's with cards we have traded or bought (me included), at least he is being very upfront about the way he ships, going as far as to let everyone know in his signature. Not sure how old he is, but I can understand some of our younger members not having much of a choice if they don't have the money for padded envelopes/postage/etc. I still send in a PWE if it's a low end freebie or if me and another party agree to a low end trade and both know beforehand it will be shipped pwe.

I applaud him for his honesty and giving others the opportunity to decide whether they want to trade with him or not. By all means patsfan, IF you have the chance to get some padded mailers you should try and do so, but I thank you for your honesty.

Now to the subject at hand.....I saw a few people collect Drew before he got hot, but many many more after. If you are a true fan of his, my opinion would be to wait until the end of Feb or so to start looking for his stuff again. By then it will be all but a memory and I am sure you will be able to find his cards easier and cheaper :)

    Peace~

Well dude ill tell you i have completed 16 beautiful trades on here and have never bought a bubb;e mailer. I just reuse them. Im not saying that i applaud myself for saving money but my mom wont take me to staples to get bubble mailers. (13 years old) So the point is all you need to do is save them because sending without bubblewrap of a sort is just not a good idea.
