PSA, BGS and SGC All In Trouble? Help me find a authenticator that is trustworthy!

keeping up-to-date with the grading scandals rocking the industry right now.

not sure what's going on? check youtube. it's full of bad news from reputable dealers and collectors.

from collector's waiting up to six months, to the story about the guy whose box was delivered and sat in the holding area for over 3 months, only to be contacted by PSA that the box was empty when opened. and don't get me started with the PSA buy back program (i.e., card graded a 9, selling it to PSA, only to have them regrade to a 10 and resell it).

a couple years ago I did a Beckett on-line authentication of a James Earl Jones autograph on a 1977 Star Wars Darth Vader card. the result was "likely to pass full authentication". but now that the parent company of PSA owns Beckett, not sure I want to go that route.

I have several cards graded by ISA, but the industry and collectors aren't giving them the respect due to "gotta have it PSA.."

    thoughts?

If you want dollars you have to go with PSA and the other top tier companies of course who owns them LOL. You have a ton of other companies out there but if your looking for dollars you have no real options. I cannot fault ISA as they are priced really low and a quick turnaround time which is great if your keeping the cards for your pc.

Also, you talk about grading but then mention authenticator. What are you looking to do authenticate or grade?

    Here a few options.

    Card Supplies
    Toploaders 60 point $4, 100 point $7, 140 point $4, 190 point $3, 240 point $3
Soft Sleeves Standard $1 and Thick $1.50
    TOP-LOADER 3X4,100 CT PENNY SLEEVES INCLUDED $11

PSA owns both BGS and SGC now

They are basically a monopoly for sports cards right now in the United States so the quality and customer service is going to be garbage since they bought them to make money and not to make things better. I wish they were in trouble by they are having trouble keeping up with the demand. If people keep sending them millions of cards every month after scandals and price hikes why would they improve?
