1974 Exhibit Reprints Cobb Wagner needed

I am going through my stuff and discovered I need the Cobb and Wagner from the 1974 Reprint set of the 1948 Exhibits. Can trade for or maybe buy if the price is right.

What is the difference in the reprint versus the actual exhibit. Do they say reprint on the back etc? Just asking as I seen some but never knew they had reprints. Even the reprints are 50 years old lol.

    Don,
Fair and great question. I have asked and searched this often. The only answer I have is the Reprints are thinner and have white backs plus if you hold a flashlight on the card flashlight shines through on reprints because they are thinner stock . Original 1948s--light won't shine through. Some of the ones I have a white white back and some have an off white back but I did the flashlight thing and I see light though on all of them thus I am presuming they are all 1974. The 74's, I am told, where also printed in 3 colors - B&W, Blue and Brown. Unfortunately I do not have a confirmed 1948 to check the difference. However, since you asked and I don't know why I didn't think of this earlier, I will check some other Exhibits and see what happens with the light. There also was a set printed in 1977 but the big difference is the font used and it is very obvious.
