Cleveland Browns Trade Myles Garrett To Rams
https://www.profootballrumors.com/20...arrett-to-rams
Myles Garrett‘s time in Cleveland is coming to an end. The reigning Defensive Player of the Year is being traded from the Browns to the Rams, NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport and Tom Pelissero and ESPN’s Adam Schefter report.
The full trade terms, per Schefter, consist of Garrett being traded for Jared Verse, a 2027 first-round pick, a second-round selection in 2028 and a 2029 third-rounder.
Once it is processed, though, it will no doubt go down as a seminal moment for both franchises.
Schefter reports Garrett has chosen to waive his no-trade clause to allow for this deal to take place. He will retain that clause upon arrival in Los Angeles. As Jonathan Jones of CBS Sports notes, today’s stunning swap represents the first time in history a reigning Defensive Play of the Year has been traded.

The Rams are getting a top star.

Rams have been doing a nice job of creating trades that benefit both sides. The aim of course is to get better but a trade doesn't have to have a winner and a loser. It can have two winners.

I agree with this. At first I thought the Rams got a steal but looking at the numbers Jared Verse is almost as good. Never really heard of him as I don't watch the Rams but this trade basically made sense for both teams. Rams upgrade in the short term to try and win a Super Bowl in the tiny window that Stafford has left and the Browns who weren't going anywhere this season get a younger player replacement and picks that hopefully help down the line.
