Draft starting soon, and lots of talk about where Giannis will go.

    Discuss.

Giannis has officially been dealt to Miami. It was between them and Boston, and Miami it is. I do recall Giannis listing Miami as his preferred city to play in awhile back, so not surprised he ended up there.

Randle has also been dealt (Brooklyn). OKC also sent Aaron Wiggins to the Hawks for picks. Lots of contract updates, too.

    Draft is tomorrow.

First round of the draft is over. No surprise with the first 8 picks, but a few from Johnson onward. I've been hearing there's not a lot of difference in players in the late first round and early second, so some teams are trading down to save money, like the Cavs, who gave up their 29th pick for a 34th and another future.

People are saying the haul for Giannis is light but he basically forced the Bucks to deal him to the Heat or the Celtics and honestly I think the Celtics were just included to have a second team for the Heat to bid against. So you really didn't have much compeition bidding for him (again like Luka but they did the whole fake circus of two teams going at it to look like a competition). And honestly the roster of the Heat with him isn't really all that scary and if he gets hurt for a good chunk of the season the team looks downright garbage even for the East so while they had to make this deal I don't think it is going to amount for much for them unless they make some more signings this offseason or next.

Yeah that is the consensus view from forums and social media I've read.

Another major deal today - LaMelo Ball dealt to the Timberwolves while the Hornets get Naz Reid. Wolves finally have a PG, but Ball and Ant together? They're both ball dominant and frankly both really immature guys. This could really backfire. And now the Hornets are without a real PG except for the guy they drafted at #18, the 6-1 rookie Christian Anderson. They must have really high confidence in that pick, or else they are making more moves to get a more veteran PG replacement for Ball. Wonder if a wing and/or big are on the move for one.

I really don't like this move for the Hornets. Was he unhappy? Did they need to cut salary or something? I know he was on the trade block but the Hornets last year after a certain point had one of the best records in basketball. I would have thought they would have ran it back with the same crew for a full season and see what they could do. I guess not though. This should give Kon the chance to increase his scoring for next season as he was doing great this year but he wasn't always getting the most touches per game. Though he did have a few games where he absolutely struggled and looked lost out there but that happened with Flagg too.

The Charlotte Hornets have traded star forward Miles Bridges to the Phoenix Suns in exchange for a series of picks and player swaps.

The bombshell agreement was first reported by NBA insider Shams Charania on Sunday afternoon, and left fans stunned.

The trade will see Bridges head to Phoenix, as well as a 2029 first-round pick and a 2027 second-round pick, while Charlotte receives Grayson Allen, Royce O'Neale and a 2033 first-round pick.

ESPN's Charania reported of the deal: 'The Suns acquire a starting PF at 28 years old in Bridges -- whom they've targeted in recent years -- plus a 2029 less favorable first-rounder and a 2027 less favorable second rounder while getting $20 million in tax savings while opening up a roster spot ahead of free agency.

'Charlotte picks up two playoff-tested role players and receives a valuable further out, unprotected Suns first-round pick.'

The shock trade comes just weeks after Bridges was granted a restraining order against his ex-girlfriend and co-parent Mychelle Johnson, as revealed by court files obtained by The Daily Mail.

So the Hornets shake things up further. Ja Morant was also dealt to Portland yesterday. Latest rumor is that LeBron and AD are plotting to play for Golden State. That would be a circus.

Well the historic Celtics and Lakers franchises sure shocked the world with some WTH moves today.

Looks like the last really big move still to come would be where Lebron James signs. There have been some crazy locations thrown out there that I don't think are too serious but whoever he signs with will probably be a contender with the move so where does everyone think he ends up?
