This is wild! Ducks said they would match any offer, but that was before someone pushed 18 million onto the table!
Emotion says you can't "fold" and have to match but logic says 4 firsts and 18 M in cap space is worth more than any one player.

Yeah 18M for Leo is crazy. I think the Ducks will match but it's a tough situation either way.

Well they keep their franchise center, assuming he blossoms into something far more than 67 points!?!
Now they currently have only 9 M cap left, and Gauthier will need all that and more.
So, more salary dump trades upcoming...

This team is going to be a shell of what it was last year.

The Habs are starting to look very good, with all their star players locked down for under 10m.
