Roll Call, lol. Wondering if people can share who/what the collect…
Hi everyone, As someone who is here for the fun of trading, I am finding it to be a little quiet here. I know, summer. But I think it would be great if we had a bit of a master list as to who people collect, it also serves to let us know who is active on the forum.
Personally I like Goaltenders who were in net to win Olympic Gold: Brodeur, Luongo, and Price. Although I have been concentrating on Brodeur trying to reach 1000 cards.
Would love to hear what your main collection is!I collect Brodeur for my PC

I'm under the impression it's me who's started this thread... I've complained about the quietness of this forum multiple times in the past. Unfortunately, it seems to be the new reality now. I'm not sure anymore this is gonna improve on here... Btw, I'm Jonathan, I've been a 20-year long Patrick Roy collector (still collect him). And since around 2022, I've also started collecting Sergei Bobrovsky, 'cause I think he's an incredible goalie, maybe the most athletic there is too.
Also, since it's really too quiet on here imo, I've recently started to sell my stuff on eBay. Everything I can't move on here, I can on eBay. For instance, and I thought Richard would have wanted this, I have a 1988-89 Montreal Canadiens team photo postcard (5 x 7) available, for some reason that specific season is SUPER rare. I've displayed it on here a few days ago, besides some views still no replies. No one wants it. So I thought to myself maybe there aren't any Habs collectors on SCF, but no, I know for a fact that there are many. I just don't get it. I also have a 1987-88 available, a 1989-90 (w/o Beliveau), and finally a 1990-91...
Anyways, it is what it is I guess. This discourages me a little bit though, I have to say.. Thanks for the read!

Admitting you have a problem is the first step in getting the help you need.
Unlike Richard's degeneracy, I focus on players from Newfoundland and Labrador (even including those in Habs garb) as well as a couple of former Maple Leafs players in Luke Schenn, Jonas Gustavsson, and Johnny Bower. I don't usually collect or build sets, but did complete the 2010-2011 Upper Deck 20th Anniversary and collect 1990-91 Upper Deck throwbacks and buybacks.

I collect Gino Odjick, Patrick Roy and also Canadiens and Nordiques. I might have to start picking up Gretzky cards too, my son loves Gretzky. I also appreciate legends like Ovechkin, Lemieux, Bourque, Messier, Yzerman, Sakic, …

You just reminded me of a funny story. I was 16, in a Dairy Queen with a freind, Gino Odjick walk in, we are quietly freaking out as him and a lady (girlfriend?) sit down near us. We decide not to disturb him for an autograph, feeling as though it was not the right time. When they left the women left her purse behind. I grabbed it and raced for the car. A 16 year old girl weighing less then 109lbs freaked out Gino! His face when I was knocking on the glass, when it dawned on me to hold up the purse, he had a huge look of relief, opened the window, took it, then took off away from me.
I have never gotten a Gino autograph, and he will always be missed.
sorry for veering of the roll call, just wanted to share.
