4 Box Contenders Break with Pics

I broke 4 Boxes of 2006 Contenders FB a few days ago...

    Box 1:

Rookie Autos: #181 Travis Wilson, #200 Michael Robinson Redemption SP??, #212 Jimmy Williams & #233 Mike Espy

    Inserts:
LC-15 Legendary Condtenders Paul Lowe 313/1000
AW-35 Award Winners Jason White 6/1000
ROY-16 ROY Contenders Mike Bell 739/1000
RND-22 Round Numbers 4: Michael Robinson, Brad Smith, Demetrius Williams & Cory Rodgers 74/250
    51 - Trent Green - Playoff Ticket 63/199

Not to thrilled with this box...I like Robinson and since I opened have seen speculation that he may be a SP...so it could be decent. I really like how the inserts look.

    Box #2:

Rookie Autos: #115 Santonio Holmes, #184 Skyler Green, #204 Manny Lawson

Award Winners AU: AW-29 Dick Kazmaier (Heisman Winner) 148/200

    Inserts:
LC-2 Legendary Condtenders Dan Marino 171/1000
AW-43 Award Winners Archie Griffin, Howard Cassady & Eddie George OSU703/1000
ROY-7 ROY Contenders Jerious Norwood 770/1000
DC-20 Draft Class KC Chiefs: Tamba Hali & Brodie Croyle 112/250
    10 - Lee Evans- Playoff Ticket 106/199

I thought this was a nice box. Holmes ended the year strong and I love the idea of a Heisman winner AU...

    Box #3:

Rookie Autos: #119 Laurence Maroney, #133 Adam Jennings, #190 Anthony Mix & #204 Manny Lawson (2nd one...)

    Inserts:
LC-20 Legendary Condtenders Jerry Rice 368/1000
AW-25 Award Winners John David Crow 476/1000
    ROY-15 ROY Contenders AJ Hawk 89/100 & ROY-22 Manny Lawson 712/1000
DC-5 Draft Class GB Packers: AJ Hawk & Greg Jennings 376/1000
    94 - Joey Galloway - Playoff Ticket 64/199

I thought this was a great box. Really thrilled with the Maroney...and curious how many there are...so far there has been at least one really good RC Auto in each box (again I like Robinson...but he is not at the level of Holmes and Maroney). Not happy to get a second Lawson...but definitley not going to complain.

    Box #4:

Rookie Autos: #113 Marques Hagans, #161 Cory Ross, #168 Greg Jennings & #195 Michael Huff

    Inserts:
LC-19 Legendary Condtenders Tony Dorsett 380/1000
AW-33 Award Winners Johnny Rodgers 126/250
ROY-20 ROY Contenders Greg Jennings 257/1000
DC-15 Draft Class Rams: Tye Hill & Dominque Byrd 514/1000
RND-16 Round Numbers 1: Reggie Bush, Vince Young, Matt Leinart & Jay Cutler 61/250
    RND-7 Round Numbers 2: K Clemens & Travaris Jackson 176/250
RND-22 Round Numbers 4: Michael Robinson, Brad Smith, Demetrius Williams & Cory Rodgers 634/1000
MVP-5 MVP Contenders Eli Manning 726/1000

A decent box because of the Greg Jennings and Michael Huff AU's. The Round #1 Insert is pretty neat also.

This is the best I have ever done on Contenders...I am really happy with these boxes. Now will have to see about the SP's.

I really am not interested in trading the Auto RC's unless it is for other Contenders Auto RC's, especially until the SP's are announced. I also may try and put together some of the insert sets.

I have singles if anyone needs them to complete sets or for team lots.

Let me know what you guys think on these boxes and Contenders overall.

    Thanks for the read,

    Joe

I need the Hagans, want to sell it to me?

What year was the Heisman from? The Huff, Holmes, and Maroney are the best of the lot.

eaglefan52081: thanks...I agree I feel real lucky to have pulled that card.

raym: I did not see anything I need for those cards.

11chaos: I will probably hold on selling any of these until the SP's are announced. I will let you know at that time. It does not say what year Kazmaier won the Heisman...I will need to look it up. I agree those are 3 pretty good pulls.

    Thanks,

    Joe

He played for Princeton, he was a Senior RB at the time he won the Heismann in 1951.

I don't think he is a SP. There are bunch on ebay but I understand though.

11chaos: thanks for the info on Kazmaier...if I sell the Hagans I will let you know.

Bret: you have alot of nice cards on your bucket but I think I want to put the Maroney and the Holmes in my PC so not enough without those for what I like of yours.
