Rockets up over Mavericks at half - TMac 29 points
Rockets have been very impressive lately. TMac seems to have put his nagging injuries behind him and is playing out of his mind. Yao is excellent, but TMac leads the Rockets. When he's playing, they always have a chance.

If the Rockets starters, and key reserve players can stay healthy this year then the Rockets could be tough to beat in the playoffs. T-Mac and Yao haven't shown many signs in the past of being a great duo, but I'm sure now that T-Mac is healthy and playing like a beast that they will be better together.

In the past, the Rockets always played well with T-Mac and Yao together, but the team's record without one or both was always atrocious. Both were prone to injuries - especially last season - so they were much less of a threat then. They helped their supporting cast this season by adding Battier. Perhaps now they can really make a run once Yao comes back as well.

TMac ended up with 45, but the Mavericks came back with a good bench effort (esp. Devean George) and won the game. Rockets were heavily outrebounded and the Mavericks got too many second chance points in this one. Fun game, though.
