    Top 5 list

As I poted in the other forums, I am updating the website and needed some collector feedback. I am looking for a top 5 list for both rookie and for veteran players. Thanks in advance for all your support.

football is tough to collect, b/c players get hurt, and if it's a serious injury, there goes the value (see Ki-Jana Carter, Garrison Hearst, Kurt Warner)....

anyways, here's the top 5 veterans
    1. Jerry Rice
    2. Brett Favre
    3. Payton Manning
    4. Emmitt Smith
    5. Randy Moss

    and the rookies
    1. Carson Palmer
    2. Mike Vick (even though he's not a rookie; but only been here for 2 years)
    3. Ashley Lelie
    4. ?
    5. ?

I second podstock's post, except in the rookies categorie I like Byron Leftwich!I love watching that kid play!Down with Brunell, and up with Leftwich! They seriously need a QB change!

    Veterns
    Jerry Rice
    Peyton Manning
    Brett Farve
    Ricky Williams
Plaxico Burress (ok so I am a little biased)

    Rookies
    Leftwich
    Randel El
    Harrington
    Mcghahee
    Portis

As you can see with veterns I agree with Podstock mostly. I put a bunch of 2nd and 3rd year people because I feel some of them are more established as a good player than the 1st years. I don't know if that is what you wanted but I tried.

I am very wary of collecting football players.

Too much hard earned money....no need to get a card of a player who's most likely to be out of the league really soon

Anyone know what the average "life span" of a pro player is?

From what I recall (and this is probably inaccurate):

football -- average player lasts 3-4 years
    baseball - lasts 5-6 years
    basketball -- same
