You Gotta Love UD Redemptions...

It's been 11 months since I submitted a 2005 SPA Carlos Rogers Scripts for Success AU redemption card. Lo and behold a package comes today with a letter stating that they had to send a replacement and a bonus card for waiting so long. I have never received a replacement before and had always receieved the exact cards I redeemed.

As I read the letter, I thought for sure they would replace the Rogers AU with something significantly better.

Well I guess I may have expected to much...I received:

1999 UD Signature Willie McGinest AU Card #WM $25 BV and
2005 Reflections Barrett Rudd AU Card #SR-BR $12 BV

But I guess on the other hand these 2 cards do have higher BV than what I was to receive and the McGinest is an on card auto...which is nice.

What does everyone think??

Not too bad, McGinest is pretty cool, never heard of the other guy though.

I sent in a redemption card about 3 months ago for a 2004 Upper Deck Legends Andy Russell auto. I also received package yesterday. Got the same story about not being able to supply the listed auto ( BV $25)

Instead I got a 2001 Upper Deck Legends auto of Archie Manning ( BV $40)
and a 2001 Upper Deck eVolve game jersey of Randy Johnson ( w/pinstripe)
021/300 ( BV ???)

Not bad and a quick turnaround to boot, although I'm a Steelers fan and am disappointed at not getting the Andy Russell auto.

Anybody know the BV on the Randy Johnson?

vikingfan101: I agree at least McGinest is a good player who played with a good team. Ruud is a LB drafted by the Bus...but I am not sure if he is even on the roster.

elltee: I would have hated to not get a card like the Russell...especially if you are a Steelers fan...at least the Manning is a nice card in return. I would not be happy getting a baseball card instead of a football card that was not redeemed...

kc4lyfe: I would have traded it to you...if I come across any other Rogers cards I will let you know.

11chaos: good luck...I hope you get the Allen...that will be a nice addition to any collection...

htwheelz01: good luck...a year is way too long to wait...I would not mind a few months to make sure and be able to get a great card...but over a year???

JeRmZ: that is scary...I would never trade or purchase a redemption card...you just never know what you will end up with...

For those who have not heard of Barrett Rudd, unbelievable just because he is not a top draft pick or hyped up super star no ones heard of him....
