From all indications from the Beckett board: it's a resounding no. The buybacks that fall 1 per box aren't auto'd...or guaranteed to be from 86/87 for that matter...just low end stuff and nothing really to save the box except maybe a few GU

Let's put it this way: two different collectors each buy a case...mostly pull 87-88 and 88-89 Fleer buybacks...HUGE disappointment.

I have heard nothing but HORRIBLE things on this product. verywhere I look I see people upset about spending $60-70 a box on this stuff and getting Allen Leavell, Mike Gminski etc. buybacks. The one Jordan GU you MIGHT get does not make up for the box of base that you have to throw in the fireplace.....probably not a good buy EVER.......

Ditto to everyone's comments here. I've hear nothing but bad things. However some have pulled the Jordan gu, they look like Feel The Game gu'ed, but thats about it. I've yet to hear someone pull an 86-87 Fleer card.

Just think about it though, it's a great marketing ploy for Upper Deck. Fleer has never really been a huge product in the market in terms of demand, so this year they try to spice up the product with one huge major mojo card. Some people are stupid at times and try to take that huge risk, and come away very dissapointed. This is how companies like UD make money folks.

Bought five packs last week, got an 88-89 Frank Brickowski buyback. Lucky for me I also got some nice rookies that made it worth my money. But if you know how to find the buybacks, you can always tell which packs have them.

Uh...I got a Ricky Davis base card that's probably worth 10 cents...and I have Villanuevas from Bowman and Topps.
