Pro Bowl Week
Well my two boys and I went to the ProBowl NFL Skills Challenge today. My oldest (Dalton) was kinda laid back and just observed, but my youngest (Dillon) and I got really lucky. Some good autographs were collected by me and Dillon. We got Matt McBriar, DeAngelo Hall, Julian Peterson, and are your ready...? We got Drew Brees and Tony Romo autos!!!
But wait it gets better...
Drew Brees was throwing the ball around a bit, including some passes to
spectators in the bleachers (bleachers at the event field, not the stadium). We were sitting on the bottom bleacher. Dillon stood up and yelled for Brees to throw him a pass. Brees did, but Dillon dropped it.
Then Brees told Dillon to run a 10 yard route. Dillon did and caught a perfect spiral from Brees. Regretably it all happened so fast that I couldn't take a pic.
But wait...
Then Tony Romo was QB'n in the receiver events. He was standing about 10
yards from us. I yelled "Tony give me a pass". He did and (thankfully) I
caught it. Then I threw it back.
We had a really kool day.
Can't wait for the Pro Bowl game in Sat.
Here are few quick snapshots of Romo and the "Old-Timers" flag-football game.

Thanks for sharing jedijohnson! Brings back some great memories of me attending Dallas Cowboys training camp (during the Super Bowl run in the 90s). Congrats on the autos!

Every year the event sponsor gives the military a bunch of tickets.
For two years now I've been lucky enough to get some.
I hope the trend carries over to next year, which will probably
be my last year stationed in Hawaii.
I don't know how much they would cost via TicketMaster etc..

Pro Bowl game
Great game. Sure wish we would have stayed for the last five minutes...:(
I decided to leave with five minutes left in order to beat the crowds.
The NFC had just turned the ball over on downs on the AFC 1-yard line.
Score: AFC-28, NFC-14.
Me and my two boys then drove over to pickup my wife at work.
She starts telling us how the AFC won with a last-second FG, 31-28.
I was like "WWHHAATT!!!!!".
Still a good time though.
