People need to read the SMR before bidding!
Look at this: its a $31 card in the new SMR at PSA 9. And, Sandberg's cards aren't even that hot lately...

Looks like 2 guys got into a bidding war for this one. Why, I have no idea. Doesn't make any sense as the population on Sandberg in PSA 9 is over a 1000.

LOL, it's pretty funny if you ask. Well, the seller will be happy getting that much for a mass produced Sandberg with (as John said) over 1,000 PSA 9s.

I wanted to make sure it wasn't just me missing something! I am thinking about emailing the bidder and selling him the two PSA 9 Sandbergs I have for that price!

The seller is DSLSPORTS. They seem to have a never ending supply of high grade cards from all years. PSA 9's and 10's all over the place. They are always a big topic of conversation on the PSA message board. Everyone seems to think they get preferential treatment on their cards from PSA.

Maybe, maybe not. It's hard to say. With the thousands of cards they submit I am sure there are a percentage that slide by.;)

I have bought cards from this DSLSPORTS before, and I am always amazed at the inventory they have. I got several nice PSA 10 cards from the early eighties from them, and they are the only seller I have ever seen offer them. I wondered the same thing about them getting special treatment from PSA. How could they not? I submit 50 cards a month (or so) to PSA, and they must submit 1000's of them, if I owned PSA, I would want to keep my biggest clients happy. But, how fair is this to the regular collector like me? Not very fair, and yes, I have seen this discussed on the PSA boards...

I found this very interesting as well how this auction ended. I am almost tempted to buy up some PSA 9's and unload on eBay. I find it very suprising that 9's are still going at that rate. 10's yes, but 9's? Am I wrong here?

I can guarantee you that this was an error on the buyers part. I would be surprised if he even went through with the deal (shame on him if he did!). I pointed this out just to show that a lot of people on Ebay are clueless to true market value. If you put a lot of PSA 9's on Ebay, you will often be lucky to get SMR for them, usually less, depending on the player.
