ESPN Reports Thomas Jones to Jets, Briggs Wants Out

Opinions on this? Personally, I feel this just made the gap they had between the rest of our division smaller. I really thought Thomas Jones was good. Supposedly the trade is Jones + a 2008 2nd Rd Pick for a 2007 2nd Round pick. Sounds like the Bears got ripped to me.

Also, Briggs reportedly wants out. Give him the money!

The only thing about this I like is that Benson will be their man now. I thought Jones was good but I thoughht Benson could do better. But on ESPN it says the Bears trade their 2nd round pick this year so they would only be moving up 20 spots in the second round.I think they got ripped. I would like Briggs to get more money.

Briggs is a beast as a WLB and he's only 26. If I needed a strong LB, I'd throw my 1st pick to the Bears for him.

I'm a Benson fan, but the Jones/Benson combo worked out really nice for Chicago. They made a mistake trading him for so little in return.

I agree. Trading Benson to move up 20 odd spots doesn't seem like to smart of a move to me.

Bears ripped themselves. Briggs is a Beast and he's been saying that he wants out. Urlacher said he would redo his contract to try and keep him but I dont think that Briggs will stay. Jones will be missed. It's been one hell of a post Season Rivera was shipped out so there goes the defence. Jones is shipped out so unless Benson steps up or Grossman steps up there goes the offense.

Guess I'll just watch the game to make sure I dont miss the Hester Highlights

Bring briggs to Oakland. Briggs, Morrison and Howard would make a awesome LB trio

Bears screwed themselves but , they couldnt let Benson share the backfield w/ Thomas Jones forever, they paid good $$ for him and they need to know if he is worth it, so I understand, but at the same time, losing Jones is a punch to the gut

benson is better than jones in my opinion but think that they could have gotten more for jones. also briggs is wanting like 15 to 17 mil a year that is a little high if you ask me. He wants what urlacher makes and i dont think he i s worth that. and we also have antoher running back named adrian peterson who is also good. Hopefully they will draft bush from louisville
