What do you do when someone gets traded?

What do you do if someone from "your" team who you collect gets traded? Do you keep collecting him, as long as he is in your teams uni? Ditch every card you have of him?

I'm trying to decide what to do with all my McGahee stuff and am just interested to hear what others do.

Me personally, I keep collecting him. Even if he isn't on my team anymore. I was big on Tony Richardson. He got traded to Minnesota...I still take his chiefs cards, and every once in awhile, I take a minnesota card.
Collected him for a reason.. He still plays, so Me, I still collect.

Houston Oilers were my second favorite team... When they sold out, Warren Moon went elsewhere. I still collect all his cards, no matter what team he was on.

I collect upto the year they left the Steelers (My team) but I also collect players who it doesn't matter what team they are on. Tiki Barber, Marques Hagans, Matt Schaub are them that don't matter what team, I collect them because of their college.

I'm not a team collector but if I were I would only collect cards of players specifically in that uni. The only way I would continue to collect them is if I collected them as a player as well.

If someone leaves the Bears (my team) then I stop collecting them unless they are in the Bears Uni. But I wont spend that much on them either. If I can pick up an auto for $5 then I'll do it other wise its not worth it.

This sounds like where I'm headed. I won't dismantle my McGahee collection, but I'm not going to go out of my way or spend tons of $$ to get new stuff in either.

I also do it specifically in the Vikings uni, when they were here. For example, I wont trade for anything Randy Moss in Raiders Uni, just wont touch it. I just flat out stopped collecting Culpepper, but then again, he forced his way out of Minnesota.

All in all, it has alot to do with what exactly the player did to leave the team, retiring, thats ok, leaving because he wasnt resigned, thats ok. But a forced trade or whatever, I wont go for it.

I agree with that. I'll collect anything of Jim Kelly and Thurman Thomas (in a Bills uni.)

Willis McGahee left a bad taste in our (fans') mouths. I have no desire to go out of my way to pick up anything of his.

I really only collect auto's of players on my teams. I collect old guys, current guys, and traded guys, it doesn't matter to me. As long as I have an auto of them in a Pats Uniform, the go in my display case!
