Very nice high-end Elway auto FT

I just picked this up in a local trade this weekend.

2001 Donruss Classics Hashmarks John Elway auto with a peice of turf from Three Rivers Stadium. This card has a print run of only 25. Personally, I've never seen it before, but it's very cool.

Book value is $200, but I need at least $250 BV, because I think I could throw this card on Ebay and sell it for $200. This will be very hard to get. Only looking for high-end Packers, like Favre, Starr, Reggie White, Nitschke, Jim Taylor. Will look at lists, and might consider trading this for something not PC, but it would have to be something terrific.

Craiger your PM box is too much
So can you just send it back with DC and Insurance and I will send you a little game used to cover the insurance cause if that kind of stuff is going down around you or whatever I would just feel a lot better to have insurance so I will not be screwed if something like that happens again

That is a nice card by the way

    thanks

Good guess Jay. I was down in Point this weekend because my wife had a graduate class. Stopped in Bill's shop (I think I told you we go way back) and worked out deals for this card, a Barry Sanders Score RC and a LeRoy Butler auto'd full size helmet. He's a very good dude. I couldn't believe the Elways he had in there...high-end stuff too. Almost worked out a deal for a Cutler Aspire auto /25, but he wanted too much for it.

Loop, you have some very, VERY impressive stuff on your site, but I'm going to be pretty picky with this card. I gave up quite a bit to get it, so I'm going to need something that will go straight to my PC and never see the light of day again, lol.

I think hes got like a 15 % markup on his cards. It is quite funny cause the prices are so whacked out. But trading wise he is a very respectable person.

I saw that turf auto at his shop when I was down there but didnt have enough to get it. Did he still have the Absolute 2 color jsy auto.

I did notice that some of his stuff was a little overpriced. Didn't bother me. He said he barely ever sells anything for the price listed...most of his sales are at 60-65% book. Since I lack cash, I wasn't looking to buy anyway.

Yeah, he still had the Absolute patch/auto, but I wasn't a huge fan of the card. I'd rather have an on-card auto over a sticker anyday. Don't get me wrong, I'd like to have it, but he basically gave me the choice, and I chose the turf/auto. He also had a 2006 Elway Sweet Spot gold #/100 he was selling.
