I think hes going to the NBA. Hes most likely going to be the number 2 draft pick unless Oden stays in school, then he'll be the number 1. He has everything needed to become a star in the nba, he just needs to bulk up a little. But, Kevin Garnett is like the same type of player and had a similar build when he entered the league, so Durant could play in the nba now easily.

hes out... oden will stay in school if they dont win the tournament this year for sure and even if they do win i think it is at least 50/50 he stays for another year.... his family is well off and he doesnt really need the money like many other players and he has made it very well known he wants to win a NCAA Championship

I think he will stay one more year. From what I hear he enjoys the college atmosphere and I'm sure the second round loss in the tournament won't sit very well with him. The Longhorns can only get better if he stays for another year.

i think both he and oden will go for the draft
it just doesnt make any sense whatsoever to stay in school from a money perspective, especially considering how highly they are regarded
Oden and Durant are guaranteed to go in the top 2 of the draft.. You just don't get any higher than that. They wait 1 year, risk injury and effectively lose millions of dollars all for nothing..
They both already NBA-ready (Oden perhaps more than Durant) and it's a certainty that they will be getting significant playing time for their respective teams.
No drawback to going to the NBA, and plenty of drawbacks for not (mostly with dead presidents' faces on them)

I think they are both gone no matter if OSU wins or not.

if Durant does come out, it won't be because he has the potential of being a #1 or #2 pick or even a high dollar NBA contract. Most likely an endorsement deal will persuade him. Those could be worth in the hundreds of millions.
