Texas AM Loses
What a bunch of morons. The refs take off 1.1 Seconds? Thats insane! For those who didnt watch, AM In bounded the pass, and it was NOT touched by a Texas player, but instead knocked out by a Memphis Player. It was a short pass, and went right out. The broadcasters were saying the clock would have been down to 2.8 or 2.9 at minimum, and the refs put 2.0? What kinda bull is that? May not seem like much time, but thats a few more dribbles and a closer shot!

Viking- the first time I saw the play, I was in disbelief too..... but on the replay, I actually think Texas A&M got lucky. The Memphis player did tip the pass, but it didn't go out of bounds. It went down, hit the floor in bounds, then bounced up and landed out of bounds on the second bounce. In all honesty, I think they got a break and there should have only been 1.0-1.5 seconds max if they had been accurate.
The announcers did the usual game announcer thing and started making a call that shows why they are tv broadcasters and not referees.

tylermckinzie is absolutely right. Memphis deflected the ball but it did not go out of bounds when it first hit the floor. The ball officially hit out of bounds on its second bounce in the stands. I actually was screaming at the TV because the commentators were so caught up in the game they didn't even realize where the ball bounced.
btw, moving this to the NCAA forum.

Thanks for moving it Renegade.
I did not see it hit in, so that is news to me. From what I could tell, it appears it was hit directly out of bounds. Still stinks though, that hurt my bracket big time. Lol.
