question about multi-colored patches
has anyone heard a plausible reason why there are game used cards containing jersey pieces of what appears to be a different team? i know i have at least two or three that are just way off. i know i have a barry sanders that has black, gold and purple (ravens?) anyway, i guess some of them can be explained as maybe a special patch they might have been wearing but some are obviously someone else's jersey. seems like something a card company couldn't screw up

I have several Plummer cards with red - but theyre 03 cards, so all the GU material from that year were cardinal colors.
But as for the Barry w/Ravens colors - IDK about that, confusing to me. Do you have a scan of it?

well, i looked at it and i was wrong it is black, white and gold but i also have a tom brady that has a blue and yellow michigan jersey but on the back it says "...from an official NFL game..." and it ahs a little pull-out card that has a picture of "...the actual Patriots jersey that it was cut from..." and i have a ricky williams that says it's from an actual NFL game but has a piece of his texas jersey. yeah, there is a scan of the sanders on my trade page

That is odd although I sure they do stuff up on occasion. I used to have a Kobe Bryant "patch" game used card - but the patch was part from a bulls jersey. I sold it for triple the BV a couple years ago
