Insurance help needed
Greetings,
Im in the process of insuring an autographed UGA poster my grandmother got from the whole University of Georgia team while she was working there in 1968.
Anyway I was afraid that the adjustor would low ball me so I have come here to see if I could get help with a realistic estimate.
I have attached some pics.

I accidentally posted this in the wrong section before I realized this would be the better section for this issue.

No offense…but why would you spend money to insure that?? It doesn’t have a lot of resale value. The 68 Bulldogs weren’t one of the all time teams nor did they have any top notch NFL talent. Stanfill had a nice career but nothing that screams out as one of the all time greats. The only players that were drafted were:
Bill Stanfill
T 1 (11) Dolphins
Kent Lawrence
WR 9 (211) Eagles
Mark Stewart
DB 11 (265) Bengals
Jiggy Smaha
DT 14 (358) Browns
I guess I am confused as to why you wouldn’t just frame it, hang it up and appreciate it. The value really isn’t going to be anywhere near what would be necessary for insurance to be something you need.
Just my 2 cents…perhaps to a Bulldog fan it would be worth a lot.

I thought that them being the 1968 Southeastern Conference Champions was a big deal.

God willing it will hang among my children's children's diplomas.

It's a great item. I have many similar ones with regard to Ohio State...but it's probably not worth the cost of having it insured if you were looking for alot of value on it.

$50 does seem a bit low, I would figure it would be maybe $100 max though. Pretty nice, but it probably holds more sentimental value than sale value.

Between $50.00-100.00 is probably right. You might get $100.00 if you found a UGA fan…but probably not even $50.00 to a non-fan…so I would say an insurance quote of $75.00 would be fair.

I dont know what all is involved in creating an actual value that you would want from a personal belonging.
