Need help deciding on a 2007 set

Ok I'm 26 and have been a basketball fan for years but never before have tried to collect any of the cards. I was always more into CCG (collectible card games). But anyway...

Which set or sets in your opinion are more worthwhile to collect? I only want to focus on one set. There's a lot to choose from, Topps Chrome, Topps Full Court, Fleer, etc. I like to get full sets, as I have a few CCG sets.

So which ones are more valuable and which is cheaper to get full sets? Any opinions are appreciated.

topps, bowman, turkey red, fleer would be cheap to put together (i could help you out on most of topps or part of fleer/turkey red)

topps chrome and full court wouldnt be too difficult either
there are some ridiculously expensive sets like exsquisite but don't go for

those unless you want to sell your car off....

thanks for the info, that was real helpful. I'll probably go with Fleer Ultra or Topps to start things off.

    Start with Topps.

Ultra singles are hard to get a hold of and the packs are more expensive.

Topps Turkey Red! It's a really fun set to collect, but it is challenging, because there a total of 275 cards (including rcs, base, and checklists), and the cards have a pretty high BV for just base. However, I think it's definitely worth it, because the base are beautiful, and it is one of the most popular sets to collect right now. Good luck with whatever you choose!

Thanks for the input guys! It would have saved me from spending too much money probably. I'm looking at doing Topps or Turkey Red at the moment. I might venture into more expensive cards later on. I can spare about $30 a week right now on this hehe.

Well not sure if these are the right products for you, since you can get a full set of topps for around $15.. and turkey red around $60 (more likely significantly less, but that's the most a set has sold for)

I'd say go with Full Court because the photos are really nice on them.
