Tim - same here. Not sure what the big deal is with Nascar?!?
I know lots of folks say baseball is boring, but at least there's action and drama here and there during a ballgame.
In Nascar, who exciting is it to watch drivers go 500 miles around the racetrack?

well I don't race home to watch it, but the other day it I was watching I think they were at bristol it must have been 20 crashes, now that was exciting, watching 5-6 cars pile up, ok so that is also the same reason why I would watch hockey for the fights, ( I am a sick person) It seems to me that as many cars that pile up they should have a death every week when they are driving 150+ MPH and bumping each other. Yeah I have considered doing that to a few cars on the highway becasue they are going so slow.

Haha, GIO you are indeed sick (just kidding). Really, I think NASCAR is boring, seeing cars go 100 MPH around a track a few hundred times doesn't excite me.

Tim, not only that, but you can't even do anything with the sport as a kid.
With baseball, basketball, football, you can immediately start playing while a little kid, or coaching your son/daughter.
I for one am surprised by the explosion in fan attendance over the past several years, so much so that NBC and Fox paid quite a bundle to televise several races.
Not to mention how much oil is wasted.

if you watched the race this week in week the phenon earnhardt jr won, they had a 20+ car crash and it you check out the camera view from inside the car it is unreal how when there is a crash and you have to keep driving though it, how cool it is like driving 100+ mph into a wall. watching him avoid the crashing cars was incredible. and then they the guys who has mastered the bump and run, where they bump the car in front of them and then go past them. and you got your hot head(racings version of artest, wallace and k martin) Tony stewart who I kick want to kick everyone butt.

I think it's cool when the cars crash and blow up (not when people get hurt!). I also agree with you podstock, a kid can't just start driving. It's sort of a strange sport. Also, they do waste gasoline - depleting the world's oil reserves!! :)
