Hello
Just found this forum after doing a Google search. I collected cards for years then got out of it for awhile, I'd like to get back into it on a small level, I mainly collect cards of my favorite teams, the Steelers and the Braves.

Howdy and welcome to SCF, glad to have you aboard. So how long has it been since you last collected? If it was before 2000 then you'll really be in for a treat, as sportscards have really evolved. If you every have any questions, comments or concerns please don't hesitate to contact on of the staff members.

I think the last year I collected seriously was around 2001, right now I can't afford to buy much so I'm just looking for smalltime stuff at the moment, commons and minor stars from the last 6 years or so, Jose Canseco, Kyle Petty, just small stuff like that.
I've looked at some of your collections, man it must take a fortune to trade cards these days, lol, pieces of bats on cards, uniforms on cards, looks like some great stuff.

Anyway, a real good place to buy those game-used bat & jersey cards is eBay. You really don't have to spend a lot to get something nice either. The average game-used cards carries a book value of approx $15. Usually you can buy one for around $2-$5 plus shipping. A lot of people buy hobby boxes and then turn around and trade the cards they pulled and didn't need for cards they do need. Often your junk is another persons treasure and visa versa. Most of all though just have fun and enjoy yourself.
