Dallas gets Walker from Celtics

Ok, seriously I dont understand how anyone can like Antoine Walker. In the 2002-2003 season he took 1800 3-point attempts, making only 600. His points per game were only in relation to his attempts, any player can score 20 points per game consistantly when attempting a high number of shots.

This is the thing that really pisses me off. I am a Mavericks fan, the team combo of Nowitzki/Nash/Finley/Bradley and then another whomever it may be, is simply the deadliest combo in the nba without including players that are paid incredible amounts of money (Ex.-2003-2004 lakers). But even now with the newly acquired Josh Howard who is consistant and making himself very important on defense and sometimes scoring as well with a very good FG percentage and even Jamison who is a very high percentage scorer are both great additions to the Mavs team I will admit.

Antoine Walker only makes big time shots because he takes them all the time, Paul Pierce could have taken all of those game deciding shots as well and probably would have had a better percentage than Walker but thats not how it happened.

Walker is your typical garbage player, newly added to the Maverics his FG percentage is incredibly low and to make it worse, his 3-point percentage devastatingly low. Not to mention his free throw percentage of what...........56% added to a team of the mavericks who's last season free throw percentage was mind-boggling, I forget what game it was last season where hte Mavs shot like 48-50 free throws......and now Antoine Walker single handidly will never make that possible again. Although Raef Lafrentz isnt a great player, he is definately better than Walker in a Mavericks uniform. THis being that if Walker hadnt played for these past few games the Mavericks lost (Celtics and Timberwolves), I highly believe the Mavericks would have won those games.

Now for a highly current detail......The Celtics/Mavs game that was just played was a loss completely at the fault of Antoine Walker. He was like 3 for 20 with like 0-6 3-pointers and ended up with about 8 points. This is the worst part, When he had taken that game-deciding shot he was WIDE OPEN and STILL BRICKED IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.....AND!!!!!!! HE HAD STEVE NASH WIDE OPEN FOR 3!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.......instead he elected to shoot it in front of his home crowd and after missing he walks away with a smile on his face like either he doesnt care that he missed cuz the celtics still like him, or that he missed on purpose.......

Seriously Antoine Walker is a TERRIBLE PLAYER!!!!!!! and anyone who disagrees must be out of their mind.........read above and you can see how bad he actually is, I woudl actually take any player in the NBA over him, thats how much I hate Antoine Walker.

Hold your horses there before you diss someone that badly. There is a tremendous differance between being bad and being overrated. Antoine Walker is overrated.

I woudl actually take any player in the NBA over him, thats how much I hate Antoine Walker.

Hate is a strong word first of all. Second, I don't think you would rather have someone like Michael Stewart or almost half of the Cavs current roster over Walker just to name a few people. Think before you flame a player like that.

THis being that if Walker hadnt played for these past few games the Mavericks lost (Celtics and Timberwolves), I highly believe the Mavericks would have won those games.

"There is no I in Team." No one player is responsible for two loses let alone one. The guy is going through a shooting slump, even for him. The moment he starts doing good you will be saying how good he is. He also has to learn a new offense. It takes time from when you are traded from one team to another. You can't just learn an offense over night, just incase you didn't know that. Please don't type such hateful posts against players and blame every loss your team gets on their shoulders.

I know what you mean, I dont really feel any hatred toward antoine walker. He was decent, when he played for Boston. Its just that seeing him play for the Mavericks, and do so poorly, and then have the TEAM lose by only one or two baskets when antoine only scores 1 for 20 shots, misses freethrows, and is still given any credibility and playing time is mind-boggling. It just aggrivates me that Dont Nelson made the trade and is still playing him even though hes in a horrible slump. I know its a team loss, but if you compare #'s you will see that Antoine Walker was a major contribution to the losses.


And that was not a hatefull post in the least, I gave facts to back up my ARGUMENT. What fact, if he is such a bad player, then explain y he had a higher 3 point percentage then paul pierce?And he lead the team in Assists, not a bad accomplishment for someone who thinks hes the only offense.


Also in Antoine walker's career with boston only Larry Bird had better stats in all 3 major catagories(PPG, RPG, APG), not bad to do that on the best franchise and history for a garbage player.

Also, you being a big Mavs fan dint Mention that Antoine is leading the team in Rebounding, which Dallas needed badly.

Antoine Walker also happens to be the a very very good team leader, and was the real captain of the of the Celtics.

You should post a topic , with a poll asking if Antoine is a hoorible player, and see how many(if any) vote him as a horrible player.

Next time you post "Facts" you might wanna get the right one.
