04 Boxes

Quick question...does anyone remember the general prices (doesn't have to be exact, just a range) for the following boxes when they first came out:

2003-2004:
-04 Topps Chrome
-04 UD SP Authentic
-04 UD SPX
-04 UD Basketball

2002-2003:
-03 Topps Chrome
-03 SP Authentic


I am just curious to see how card/box depreciation/appreciation may work in our hobby. If anyone can remember, your help will be great, thanks.

i believe the 04 Spx was around $80-90....also i would love to get ahold of one of the SPX....plmk if you would trade for them....thanks

Thanks for the help, I'm not looking to trade for anything...I was just curious about what the prices of these boxes were when they came out. I wanted to know so that for future references, it helps me know how and what to expect when investing.

03-04 has actually appreciated in value, I believe...(I wasn't collecting much then so not sure about release prices)

03/04 boxes skyrocketed due to the amount of rookies in that draft...James, Anthony, Bosh, Wade, Hinrich, etc.... Some people think this year's draft will cause the same stir...

I know that the 04 boxes most likely have skyrocketed, judging by the high prices now. I was just curious as to how much they have increased compared to when they first came out. Thanks for the help anyways...it's probably tough to remember as it's been like 3-4 years since the release of those boxes. Judging by the players of this year's draft, it looks very solid indeed, although i dont think it will be as good as 03/04.
