Thumbs up Rate My Garrett Wolfe Collection

I am somewhat copying ross9013 on this one. I am using their Poll choices on mine, mostly because those are pretty similar to what I would have used. Here is the link: http://s208.photobucket.com/albums/b...lfeCollection/

Highlights of my collection and/or favorites: 3 color patch card #ed /25. Jersey/Autograph Combo #ed /25 and Topps DPP Class Marks Autograph Parallel #ed /10

Also note, I havent scanned in the following cards yet:

Press Pass 07 Blue Ink Autograph 'G. Wolfe' Inscription
Press Pass #21 Reflectors non #ed
Press Pass #57 Reflectors non #ed
    Topps DPP White Version
    Topps DPP Black Version
    Topps DPP Black Refractor
Topps DPP White Chrome #ed /299
    Topps DPP Bronze Chrome

If you have any cards that I dont have and are willing to sell them or trade them to me, PM me with what you have. Thanks a lot!!

Awesome man! I can never get my self to get a collection going. I will start by geting a few cards then just stop. Does it feel more rewarding once you have a bunch of cards?

It is definately rewarding once you get a bunch in there. You feel like you have something special, and you do. Nobody will ever have the exact same collection as you because of serial numbered cards, jersey cards, and every autograph is different. You will never find exact replicas of those either. I have every card of his so far (That I know of) besides the parallel versions of Prestige and Topps DPP, and a few higher end cards, but I am working on those, slowly but surely. They will come in time. As far as how much I have spent...too much. Haha. But I have sold a lot of my other cards that I collected over the last 12 or 13 years, so in a sense, I traded for everything I have thus far. But thanks for the kind words. I do wish I had the printing plate autograph 'card' 1/1 Someone pulled it in a pack of Press Pass, they say, and I missed it. Oh well. Cant win them all!! Haha, Thanks again!

Yah I really want to start a Kolby Smith collection but it would stink for me because I would be able to get a bunch. Then I would have to stop for a long time. Then start buying again and trading for the cards can only go so far. I understand now that building a player collection is so HARD! LOL Thanks for the advice, Tanner

Yeah player collection buildnig can be kind of tough, but I think set building is much thougher just because of the same reasons. The autographs and high-end cards are out there for EVERY player and not just the one you collect. But hey, I would say go for it, at least try to start a Kolby Smith collection. If you think it is a player you will stick with long term, and maybe want to base your collecting solely on him, then you could liquidate your other collections and focus on the player. That is what I am doing. I live like 15 miles from where Garrett played ball and have met him on several occasions and gotten personal autographs from him after games. I think just watching him play and progress as a player was what made me start collecting him. That and he's a home town player! Why wouldnt you want to collect someone that close to you? Lol. Thanks again, and good luck if you do indeed attempt your Kolby collection
